Common questions

How do I set a wallpaper?

Open a wallpaper, tap Set up, then Apply. On Android the wallpaper is set for you. On iPhone and iPad the image is saved to your Photos library — open Settings › Wallpaper › Add New Wallpaper › Photos and pick it. iOS gives no app permission to change the wallpaper directly; every app that offers wallpapers works this way.

Do icon packs and widgets work on iPhone?

Not yet. Custom app icons and home-screen widgets are Android features in ThemeStudio today. On iPhone and iPad the app is a wallpaper gallery.

Why didn't the icons in my app drawer change? (Android)

Android does not let an app that is not your launcher change app-drawer icons. ThemeStudio pins a themed shortcut to your home screen instead, which is the only route the system allows.

I switched themes but my pinned icons look the same. (Android)

Android has no way to restyle a shortcut that is already pinned. Remove the old one from your home screen, then pin it again from the new theme.

I tapped Pin and nothing happened. (Android)

Some launchers need permission to create shortcuts — check your launcher's own settings. A few launchers cannot pin shortcuts at all; the app tells you when it detects one.

The Weather widget says "Turn on location". (Android)

The widget needs to know where you are. Turn location on in system Settings for the most accurate reading, or leave it off and the widget falls back to a rough, city-level estimate.

Where are my coins stored?

On your device. There is no account system, so uninstalling the app or clearing its data loses the balance. Coins cannot be transferred between devices.

I bought coins and they did not arrive.

Reopen the app while online — a purchase that was charged but interrupted finishes on the next launch. If the balance is still wrong after that, email us with the store receipt and we will sort it out.

How do I cancel ThemeStudio VIP?

iPhone / iPad: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › ThemeStudio › Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play › profile picture › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions › ThemeStudio › Cancel.
Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end. We cannot cancel or refund a subscription for you — only the store can.

I have VIP but the app doesn't know it.

Open the VIP screen and tap Restore purchase while signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought it with.

How do I ask for a refund?

Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. On iPhone use reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android use Google Play's refund request form.

Can I suggest a theme?

Yes, please. Email us what you would like to see — most of the collections in the app started as a request.
